THE MEANING OF LIFE
To gather experience over countless lifetimes.

We Realize who and what we really are, and come to behave like That.

Ignorance of That and associated bad habits result in mistakes and consequential suffering.

The accumulation of experience eventually brings us to realize that we are not separate from others, which forms habitual devotion to the ultimate welfare of all.

Get Reminders!  Subscribe!
By putting your email address and pressing Subscribe, in the box to the left of this display, you will be able to get an email reminder of upcoming events on this calendar.  When you receive an email, you will be able to click to customize your subscription, choosing which events you are interested in. In the emails you receive, events are combined, so you should never receive more than one notice in a 3 day period (usually once per week or two, depending on your interests). The system will try to notifiy you of up-coming events 3 to 5 days in advance.

For Witches:
Note that Esbat and Sabbath dates are calculated as: the evening closest to the celebrated event, that is not after the celebrated event.  If the event occurs on an evening (after 6pm local time), then that same evening is chosen for the celebration.

The 8 witches Sabbath dates used here are:

  • Candlemas – always the evening of February 2
  • Spring Equinox
  • Walpurgis Night (May Eve) – always the evening of April 30
  • Summer Solstice
  • Lammas Eve – always the evening of August 2
  • Autumn Equinox
  • Grand Sabbath, Hallowe’en – always the evening of October 31
  • Winter Solstice

The evenings for the equinox and solstice Sabbaths are calculated as described above.

HOW TO USE UTC TIMES:
In case this website cannot determine your correct location, you can use the UTC times given to find out when the events occur in your location.  Simply find out what your time zone is, in hours from UTC.  For example, in the Eastern U.S. and Canada, the timezone is -05:00, which means, simply subtract 5 hours from the UTC times shown here.  In South Africa, the timezone is +02:00, so simply add 2 hours to the UTC times shown here.  (NOTE: If you’re on Daylight Savings Time, then add one hour to the result.)  Don’t know your local timezone?  Click here, then in the box called “Current Times” type your city or country. You’ll see your current time, and beneath the current date, you’ll see your timezone relative to UTC, and whether you’re on “Standard Time” or “Daylight Savings Time”.

  • Ron Weroski says:

This astrological information is very convenient, particularly with the specific -local- time. Saves me hours of work calculating with an Ephemeris and Atlas. Thanks kindly for making life less complicated. It’s also great for groups that work as close as possible to the actual times of the Moon phases and Solar ingresses. Great Idea!!

    Brightest Blessings,
    Ron
